A Power Dispatch Optimization Method to Enhance the Resilience of Renewable Energy Penetrated Power Networks

With the wide deployment of renewable energies, future power grids become more vulnerable to extreme environments. This paper investigates enhancing resilience systems with high penetrations energies under emergencies. The enhancement firstly is defined as maintaining much electric energy critical loads in a fixed number post-disaster periods by properly coordinating available resources. Then, an optimal decision-making method proposed maximize supply and minimize instability risks due randomness output energies. consumption loads, charging/discharging storage plants, generation generators, spinning reserve ratios at each period are taken decision variables. Constraints include reserve, flow constraints, consumption/generation limits. interior-point algorithm used solve formulated optimization problem. Numerical simulations verified effectiveness superiority boosting grid after disasters. It also found that balance should be sought between decreasing stability increasing benefit
